This is a rant (humorous I hope) on British health care, so if you're not in the mood, skip this one!
Soooo, a woman (that's me) walks into the "surgery", and tells the doc that she has had a cold for a week, but just that morning, the pain in her left ear has become very bad. He looks in her left ear only, says it looks a little red, and gives her an antibiotics prescription. The woman then asks for a prescription for cough syrup with codeine to help her sleep at night (which is a whole other rant) and writes the scrip without listening to her chest or back! Never looks at throat, takes temp, or asks any questions! Gotta love the British desire for privacy. Even doctors don't ask personal questions.
So sorry to hear you're sick. Not fun. Hope you're better soon.
ReplyDeleteWe'll be leaving for Hawaii on Wed. the 1st - I won't get to see your Blog till we get back and then you'll probably be leaving there. It was fun seeing your photos. Can't remember when you said you were leaving there.
We're leaving for Italy and France on the 7th Dec. I'll blog that when I can. Have fun in Hawaii.
