I can't believe I'm saying this, but I miss Walmart. I avoid it whenever possible in the states, but it sure makes life simple. Here we had to go to the ironmonger for bolts, a homestore for a broom, an all-purpose-order-from-a-catalogue-and-they-bring- it-to-you store for an electric razor, a chemist(drug store)for lip balm & a tooth brush, Staples for bubble wrap & note cards, and on-line to order a cheap desk. Since we walked to most of these places, and they're not all close together, it is very time consuming. Luckily we have a full size fridge, so we are only limited by what we can carry, but at least we don't have to shop daily.
The new picture is the view from our balcony.
I love your view! It reminds me of the canal trip that I took with Billie and Genny.
ReplyDeleteI went to Target and got everything I needed at one place!! I guess I'm spoiled! At least you have a good view, when you are finished running from store to store!!!
Keep posting! I'm enjoying following your adventure.
I tried to post a comment but I don't think it worked before. I'll try again. I would have followed your blog sooner had I known about it. What a fabulous opportunity you have to explore Europe. As for the walking. We had to walk everywhere we went in Korea. I looked at as a wonderful blessing so that I didn't have to feel guilty if I wanted to try all the great new food in a different country!! I look forward to reading more of your explorations in your new home!! CJ
